A few days ago Ubuntu released the first beta of 11.10. Are there any ways to build elementary OS Luna from it?
I did it. Uploaded the ebuild from 24 August. I won't post the link here cause it is not official download ask me over pm if you need those links.
Using a home-built iso isn't recommended. You won't get the elementary experience, it hasn't been tested, we can't verify or guarantee its contents, and it will most likely break due to changes in updates. All I can say right now is to be patient and wait for an official build.
@alfalive hope you have uploaded the iso file on some server. Can you please share the link!
Mediafire is a great place to upload large files like an 800MB ISO, give that one a try, and best of all, ITS FREE!
@Wachtus I don't know where. Did you know the filehoster where I can upload that?
you can upload it there where the1stman said or you could try it at dropbox, but i think this will take a while^^
Try megaupload. It is quite fast.
I tried it ower torrent but it wont start to upload the file. Something is wrong. Actually I can not split this image that is the problem.
you could just use split and concat(wont be rars, instead it will be numbered <.001, .002, etc>. Use HJSplit (hjsplit.org). Then upload these files individually .
The torrent by definition wont upload unless there is someone downloading it from you. you could post the .torrent file here(a few kb)and people could start to download it from you
@Cassidyjames. Though it wont give the proper 100% luna experience it will help be a stop gap until there is an official iso.
you could just use some of the popular file hosting sites (megaupload, hotfile etc.). Just create a free account and upload(you may have to split it into 100mb rars if using a free account). Please post the links here. I for one am very keen to test it out. :)
sorry guys I can not share my iso for now due my internet connection is capped... :(
