Has Files support for MTP devices?

Since version 4.0 android devices has not support for USB Mass Storage only MTP (Media Transfer Protocol), Android users doesn't have a good way to transfer or manage files from our devices.

Has or will has Files support for this protocol (MTP)?

I know that Shotwell has it but I want manage all types of files, not only pictures.
