Is POP support planned for Postler?
I'd like to connect to my POP email account using Postler, but it doesn't support it.

Will it be updated in time for the Luna launch atleast??? Dying to use postler but sadly not able to... Please guys... Up the priority... But seriously an awesome OS indeed... Just now moved into elementary and I ain't going nowhere... :)
Supporting POP is a necessary feature to allow Postler to become a thrustworthy alternative to the most popular email clients.
So at the moment Postler supports Gmail only?
At the moment of writing this, Postler hardly supports anything at all XD
For Luna it should support anything that supports IMAP. And most services do support IMAP, they just don't advertise it.
Well I got it to receive mails from three different IMAP accounts, sending is a totally different story though :P but Postler is the best elementary app by far and has a huge potential to compete with the big ones. Thunderbird has thousands of buttons, menus, addons and preferences, Evolution is even worse... I also like the fact that I can read mails on my netbook with postler, whereas i'd rather read mails on my 3.5" android phone than with said other mailclients on my 10" eeepc.
Yeah, this is the thing preventing me from switching my mail client.
I spoke to Postler devs yesterday and they don't seem to like the idea of supporting POP.
that's not entirely accurate. We may support POP someday, but it is quite low on our list of priorities...
This is just what I am waiting for. The sooner the better. YAY!
